LGMG holds Global Mining Customer Service Festival in Ordos

From October 9th to 11th, Lingong Heavy Machinery (LGMG)’s first Global Mining Customer Service Festival was held in Ordos, Inner Mongolia. A total of more than 500 people, including government and association leaders, industry experts, domestic and foreign partners, customer representatives, and media, gathered at the event LGMG says “to discuss the general trend of the industry and jointly explore the development direction and development direction of the transformation and upgrading of the mining industry under the wave of greening and intelligence.”

Driven by the triple pressure of double carbon policy constraints, diesel price fluctuations and a mine cost reduction and efficiency improvement drive, LGMG says the global mining industry is now seeing significant changes in energy structure, moving towards an integrated green system of electrification plus on-site renewable energy, energy storage microgrids and intelligent dispatching. LGMG argues that this has also gradually moved from pilot demonstrations to large-scale implementation.

LGMG for its part has linked up with energy companies, scientific research institutes, mine operators and other entities to collaboratively create digital full-stack solutions for mines, opening up the entire business chain of equipment, energy, energy storage and dispatching, and it says “building a new model of low-carbon mine operation that can be replicated and promoted.”

Zhang Shanrui, President of LGMG, said that the company will continue to deepen cross-border collaboration and the integration of industry, academia, research and application, deeply explore microgrid energy, ultra-fast charging, intelligent dispatching and other technologies, realise integrated collaboration in mining production, equipment operation and maintenance, and energy management and control, and empower green smart mine construction –  promoting in-depth changes in electrification and intelligence.

At the conference, many industry experts shared topics around the implementation of new energy in mines, intelligent operation and maintenance scheduling, microgrid construction and other topics.

Professor Zhou Wei of China University of Mining and Technology mentioned in his speech on ‘Global New Energy Development Trends in Mines’ that currently, carbon reduction commitments, operational safety and policy goals jointly promote equipment transformation, and open-pit mines are ushering in greater standardisation and design reconstruction of electric unmanned equipment. Scenario-based standardisation of electric unmanned equipment he said is the ultimate development direction of the industry, and this requires the coordinated promotion and joint efforts of the entire industry chain.

Professor Gu Qinghua from the School of Resource Engineering at Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology discussed a ‘New Mining Paradigm in the Intelligent Era.’ He said that mining is no longer as simple as separating, extracting and transporting useful minerals from the ore body to the surface, but is a complex systematic project  of resource-energy-data integration and a value creation process to maximise the value of resources. Focusing on the four intelligent engines of intelligent blasting, production scheduling, equipment management, and safety management, combined with driverless operation, he interpreted the new mining paradigm in the intelligent era.

At the event, LGMG also teamed up with industry experts and mining customer representatives to launch the ‘Green Intelligent Mine Peak Forum,’ focusing on green mining, intelligent equipment, energy supporting facilities, ultra-fast charging implementation, digital management and control – analysing the pain points of smart mine construction plus discussing a high-quality development path for the industry, gathering consensus and injecting strong momentum into the green and intelligent transformation of the mining industry.

Du Jianbo, GM Global Aftermarket at LGMG released its ‘Global Excellent Service Brand 2.0 Strategy’ to global customers, he said signifying that its services have officially entered the stage of customer lifetime value partners. The strategic upgrade released this time iterates LGMG’s global service guarantee system and accessories supply system, and launched diversified service models such as standard services, general service contracting, smart mine operation and maintenance, and complete machine remanufacturing around the differentiated needs of customers, covering the entire life cycle of the equipment. This series of strategic initiatives is not only a full interpretation of LGMG’s always online, always reliable service concept, but also an illustration it says of empowering customers and co-creating customer value.

Wang Yinshu, President of the General Research Institute of Lingong Heavy Machinery Technology, released a smart mine operation plan. At present, the global mining machine market continues to expand, electrification and intelligent transformation are accelerating, and closely following the development trend of the industry, LGMG says it has built a multi-power type and multi-energy supply covering diversified mining scenarios such as strip mining, coal mining and muddy working conditions.

Covering a complete product matrix of energy solutions and relying on self-developed core technology and a rigorous test and verification system, LGMG says the product can adapt to various complex and extreme mining conditions. At the same time, it has launched digital mine management and control, optical storage and charging microgrid solutions, and ultra-fast charging technology for mines, and has planned and laid out new large-tonnage products to continue to consolidate the strategic layout of electrification and intelligence in mines.
