Ajax Resources is seeking to raise at least €2.5 million through a proposed listing on Euronext Growth Oslo, aiming to expand its access to Nordic mining investors and finance exploration across its international portfolio, including the Nueva Celti copper project in Spain.
The company plans to raise the funds through a private placement with a minimum subscription price of NOK 1.00 per share. Independent Norwegian legal and financial due diligence has been completed ahead of the proposed admission, while Ajax intends to retain its existing quotation on Aquis, creating a dual-market listing structure if the transaction proceeds. The fundraising and Oslo admission remain conditional, and Ajax has not announced a completed placement. The immediate priority is therefore securing the targeted capital and establishing a broader funding base for its exploration plans.
Oslo Listing Could Broaden Access to Mining Investors
The proposed Euronext Growth Oslo listing represents a corporate financing initiative designed to connect Ajax with a wider pool of investors familiar with mining, natural resources, energy and early-stage project development.
By retaining its Aquis quotation, the company intends to maintain its existing market presence while adding access to Norway’s specialist investment community. This approach could provide an alternative source of capital for a junior explorer seeking to finance projects across several jurisdictions. The potential benefits depend on the successful completion of the fundraising. The proposed listing itself does not guarantee that Ajax will secure the targeted amount or that additional capital will be available for future exploration programmes.
The planned proceeds would support activities across Argentina, Brazil and Chile, alongside potential exploration at Nueva Celti in Spain.
Nueva Celti Copper Project Could Receive 3,000 Metres of Drilling
Nueva Celti is an important part of Ajax’s potential European exploration portfolio, although the project remains at an early stage. If the company exercises its option over the Spanish copper project, it plans to undertake approximately 3,000 metres of drilling, with an estimated budget of €500,000.
The proposed programme would aim to generate the geological information required to support an initial JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate. Establishing such a resource would represent a significant technical milestone, providing a formal assessment of the deposit’s mineralisation and a foundation for subsequent exploration and evaluation. At present, however, Nueva Celti has not reached that stage. The planned drilling remains conditional on Ajax exercising its option and proceeding with the programme. The results would need to demonstrate sufficient geological continuity and other supporting characteristics before a compliant resource could be established.
Funding Completion Is the First Key Milestone
The proposed €2.5 million raise is more immediately significant for Ajax’s corporate development than for any individual exploration asset. Securing the capital would improve funding visibility and help the company determine how to allocate resources across its international project portfolio. For Nueva Celti, the next steps would involve confirming the company’s participation in the project, proceeding with drilling and assessing whether the results justify preparation of a formal resource estimate.
The distinction between raising capital and achieving exploration results remains important. A successful placement would provide financial capacity, but it would not itself establish a copper resource or demonstrate the economic viability of the Spanish project. Ajax’s immediate challenge is to complete the proposed Oslo financing and convert the proceeds into measurable exploration progress. Until the fundraising is completed and the Nueva Celti drilling programme advances, the planned listing remains a financing strategy rather than a project-development milestone.
