Amaroq has achieved its planned quarterly production target at the Nalunaq gold mine in Greenland one quarter ahead of schedule, marking progress in its efforts to establish more stable operations and increase gold output.
The company produced approximately 12,000 ounces of gold in the third quarter of 2026, bringing total production for the first nine months of the year to around 21,000 ounces. The result means Nalunaq reached its planned fourth-quarter production level earlier than expected. Amaroq continues to target full-year production of 25,000 to 35,000 ounces of gold, with the latest operating performance providing a basis for assessing its progress toward the annual guidance range.
Processing Improvements Support Gold Production
A key development at Nalunaq has been the commissioning of the mine’s flotation circuit earlier in 2026. The new processing infrastructure has improved gold recovery and operational stability, supporting the mine’s production performance. The processing improvements are important as Amaroq works to establish a more consistent operating base at Nalunaq. Achieving the planned quarterly output ahead of schedule indicates progress in translating processing upgrades into production results.
Nalunaq Provides a Foundation for Greenland Mineral Exploration
The operating gold mine also represents a platform for Amaroq’s broader mineral exploration ambitions in Greenland. In addition to gold, the company’s portfolio includes exploration opportunities involving copper, nickel, rare earth elements, zinc, lead, germanium and gallium. These commodities are used across industrial supply chains and technologies, while their strategic importance has increased as governments and companies seek to diversify sources of critical raw materials.
Amaroq’s immediate operational focus remains on gold production at Nalunaq, while its wider portfolio provides exposure to additional mineral resources that could contribute to the company’s longer-term development. No new funding for the mine from the European Union, European Investment Bank or Greenlandic government was announced alongside the production update.
FTSE 250 Inclusion Adds to Company Visibility
Amaroq’s expected inclusion in the FTSE 250 Index represents a separate corporate development accompanying its operational progress. The production milestone, however, remains the central indicator of the company’s recent performance at Nalunaq. With approximately 21,000 ounces of gold produced during the first nine months of 2026, Amaroq is continuing to work toward its full-year target as it develops operational consistency at its Greenland mine.
