Canadian miner Capstone Copper on Monday announced a $3-billion investment plan in Chile’s Atacama region, according to Chile’s mining ministry.
The investment plan, which will allocate $2.3-billion to the Santo Domingo project and a further $220-million to two short-term projects at Mantoverde, is expected to double Capstone’s copper production in the country by 2031.
